Nairobi Day Excursions
The Nairobi Giraffe center is located 15kms from the city center. The center was founded in 1978 to save the Rothschild Giraffe from extinction. From a safe specially constructed platform, you may hand feed and make friends with the majestic resident Giraffes. You then proceed to Karen Blixen Museum, an immensely popular tourist attraction, The museums beautiful wood-panned rooms are filled with interesting archaeological artifacts. You will wind up the tour with a visit to the Utamaduni Craft Center. Here you will see the work of local wood and stone artists and also get an opportunity to purchase some souvenirs.
